About: Wright Technical Center offers great opportunities for students in 12 advanced career and technical areas serving the eight member school districts of Annandale, Big Lake, Buffalo-Hanover-Montrose, Delano, Howard Lake-Waverly-Winsted, Maple Lake, Monticello and St. Michael-Albertville. WTC provides the latest techniques and methods, focused on career and technical program choices for students aspiring to have a specialized career to ensure career success. The courses are designed for 11th & 12th grade students attending one of the member districts. The 12 career and technical program choices meet a variety of needs, skills, and career interests. Courses consist of: automotive, construction, cosmetology, early childhood, nursing assistant, law enforcement & first responder, welding, graphic communication, Intro and pre-engineering, On-the Job Training, Apprenticeship, and CEO – Creating Entrepreneurial Opportunities. Students may earn industry certifications and college credits. WTC partners with 25 post-secondary institutions and offers over 70 different college course options. With our labor force as it is, and with college tuition at such a high level, many students are wisely considering careers in the trades.
