Board Meeting Minutes

February 8, 2006, 11:30 a.m. Southbrook Golf Club, Annandale, MN
President Jeff Lundquist called the meeting to order at 11:35 a.m. Attendance: 18 Adoption/Amendment of Agenda Marlene Young moved to approve the agenda, Mike Zieska second the motion. Motion carried. Approval of Previous Meeting Minutes: Marlene Young made a motion to accept the minutes of the January 11th meeting. Charlene Donnelly seconds the motion. Motion carried. Correspondence: Jeff Lundquist had received a request from the Wright County Partnership to trade memberships. After some discussion, Marlene Young made a motion to trade and Mike Zieska seconds, motion carried. New Businesses in the Community: None Treasurer’s Report: No Report Committee Reports: A. Membership Committee – Marlene Young reported the membership numbers where at 156 members. More will come with the Expo. B. Ambassador Committee – Don Nelson will contact Annandale Foods and McKinley Manufacturing. C. Business Expo – Mike Zieska reported the registration forms are out for the Expo on Saturday, April 8th at the Annandale High School. D. All-City Garage Sale – First Saturday in May. E. Chili Cook-off – Memorial Weekend – starting looking for that favorite recipe. F. Queen’s Committee – Vicki Greene reported the committee is up and rolling. We are looking for candidates and sponsors. Contact Vicki Zieska if you are interested in sponsoring a candidate. This year marks the 50th Anniversary of Annandale Queen’s & Royalty G. Fourth of July Committee - No Report H. Arts and Crafts – Karen Pitra has the information ready to send out for the show on August 12th and is planning a Holiday Craft Show for November 4th. She will need help with the set-up and morning of the show to direct exhibitors. I. Golf Tournament – The date has been set for Wednesday, August 2nd at Southbrook Golf Club J. Halloween – Trick or Treat Chamber businesses will be on Tuesday, October 31st from 3-5 p.m. K. Community Christmas – No Report L. Social Committee – Dan Zahler and Mike Zieska reported that the event went well. M. Chamber Map – Don Nelson reported that the final list was being checked and the printer is ready to go. This year it will be printed on a heavier paper and will be printing 5,000 copies. 1,000 more than last year. N. Kiosk – Marlene Young reported that she had the wrong information sent out in the packets. The kiosk is $20.00 for members and $30.00 for non-members. Sorry for the error. Old Business A. Welcome Packets – No Report B. Business of the Year – Two new members is needed on this committee. Jeff Lundquist and Becky Fischer volunteered to serve on this committee, other members are Mark Casey, Steve Bergesch, and Kelly Kirchner. Thank you to Brent Morningstar and Mike Zieska for serving on this committee. New Business – A. Queen’s Committee Report – Tabled – budgets need to be look over.
