Board Meeting Minutes

December 14, 2005, 11:30 a.m.

Lake Center Bar & Grill, Annandale, MN


President Charlene Donnelly called the meeting to order at 11:40 a.m.

Attendance: 9 

Adoption/Amendment of Agenda

Derek Groth moved to approve the agenda, Mile Zieska second the motion. Motion carried.

 Approval of Previous Meeting Minutes:

 Jeff Lundquist made a motion to accept the minutes of the October 12th meeting.  Derek Groth seconds the motion. Motion carried.


Thank you letter from Youth First for $500 donation.  Thank you from the Barkley Family for the flowers sent to the funeral for long time chamber member Julia Barkley.

 New Businesses in the Community:

McKinley Engineering located behind A-1 Marine.

 Treasurer’s Report:


 Committee Reports:

A.      Membership Committee – There have been 30 2006 memberships received to date.  Jeff Lundquist had been contacted by a new plumber in South Haven and motion was made by Marlene Young and second by Charlene Donnelly to give them the first year of membership for free.  Clarification of this policy will need to be added to next months agenda.

B.       Ambassador Committee – Let Don know that a ribbon cutting should be arranged for McKinley and Annandale Foods, he can contact Mark Casey for contact info.

C.       Business Expo – The date is set and the committee will start meeting after the first of the year.

D.      All-City Garage Sale – No Report

E.       Chili Cook-off – No Report

F.       Queen’s Committee –  No Report – Jeff Lundquist will contact Vicki Greene about new policy for candidates and royalty.

G.       Fourth of July Committee -  No Report

H.      Arts and Crafts – No Report – Holiday show will be added back next year.

I.         Halloween – No Report

J.        Community Christmas – There was a great turn out at the New Fire Hall.

K.      Social Committee – Thursday, January 26th at Reichel’s starting at 5 p.m.  Business of the Year winner will be announced at the Social.

L.       Chamber Map – No Report

M.     Kiosk – No Report

 New Business

A.      Holiday Train is coming again next year.  There was a fantastic turn out and the Food shelf  received 1,266 lbs. of food and $838 cash, plus the $1,000 from CPR.
