Approval of Previous Meeting Minutes: Jeff Lundquist made a motion to accept the minutes of the July 2005 meeting. Mike Zieska 2nd the motion. Motion carried.

Treasurer’s Report: Jeff Burkhardt gave a detailed report. President Charlene Donnelly will be talking to Shari at M & M Bus Service about the parades that the Ambassadors attend.

8.k Halloween We are looking for a new business to take over the Halloween project. A big thank you to Karen’s Hallmark for taking care of this project the past years.

8.l Community Christmas The Committee is looking at where to have the Christmas program this year, a suggestion was made to go to the new Fire Hall Department. Charlene Donnelly of Gardendale volunteered to donate a tree.

8.m Social Committee The consensus was very favorable to have a social again in January 2006. Dan Zahler and Mike Zieska will continue with this successful event.

9. Old Business: Business of the Year applications will be out October 1st. Please look it over carefully and submit your business for a great honor.

Eric Erlandson from the Community Education Center presented a packet of what the new Welcome Packet could look like. A motion by Mike Zieska was made to have Eric check out prices on envelopes and design a cover page. Jeff Lundquist 2nd the motion and the motion was approved by all. Eric will bring back information at the October meeting.

Eric also brought up that the Great Theater would like to perform a children’s play after the Expo in April, 2006. Everyone in attendance thought this would be a good idea!!

10. New Business: Ben Greve sent an application asking for support for his endeavor of the PGA. A letter will be sent explaining the Chamber’s mission statement and wishing him good luck.
