Board Meeting Minutes

February 9, 2005, 11:30 AM Blue Waters Family Restaurant, Annandale MN President Charlene Donnelly called the meeting to order at 11:30 AM. Attendance: 27 Members Adoption / Amendment of Agenda: Marlene Young made a motion to accept the agenda. Jeff Lundquist 2nd the motion. Motion carried. Approval of Previous Meeting Minutes: Marlene Young made a motion to accept the minutes of the January 2005 meeting. Mike Zieska 2nd the motion. Motion carried. New Business in the Community: Annandale Fitness 24/7 & Annandale Foods Correspondence: A request for money from the All Night Grad Party, a letter was sent back to them saying we don’t donate to any organizations. Treasurer’s Report: None Committee Reports: 8.a Membership Committee As of this meeting, we have 159 paid members. 8.b Ambassador Committee Ribbon cutting for State Farm Insurance will be February 24th at 8 AM. 8.c Business Expo Applications are out and we are looking for a great turn out again on April 2nd. 8.d All City Garage Sale No report 8.e Chili Cook-Off No report 8.f Queen’s Committee No report 8.g Fourth of July Committee No report 8.h Arts and Crafts No report 8.i Golf Tournament No report 8.j Halloween No report 8.k Community Christmas No report 8.l Social Committee We had a good turn out and will do this again next year. 8.m Chamber Map Everything is on schedule, look forward to it being done for the Expo 8.n Kiosk No report 9. Old Business: Doug Kantor’s American Family
Insurance has taken over answering the phones for the
Chamber. We ask all Chamber members to check the Chamber web-site
and contact Steve Bergesch with any updated information.
Bendix Community Reader’s: A sign-up sheet went around and we had some people sign up for reading at Bendix on March 2nd .Annandale Chamber Business of the Year: Discussion was held on nominating 2 new members for voting seats. Tabled until next meeting.
Annandale Chamber Scholarship: A discussion was held on whether we should keep the scholarship program. Many voices of the chamber supported keeping the scholarship but using the money for other programs that the school has. Brent Morningstar made a motion to form a committee to look into other possibilities, Marlene Young 2nd the motion. Motion carried. Committee will be Mike Zieska, Jeff Lundquist and Jim Latour. Further discussion tabled until next meeting. 10. New Business: 11.
