Board Meeting Minutes

September 8, 2004, 11:30 AM

Lake Center Bar & Grille, Annandale  MN

President Marlene Young called the meeting to order at 11:30 AM.

Attendance:  20 Members

A special thank you to Ed & Catt of Friendship Ventures for speaking at our meeting.

Please remember the Friendship In Action Fundraising Luncheon to be held at Reichel’s on Wednesday, November 10^th from Noon until 1:00 P.M.

Adoption / Amendment of Agenda:  Charlene Donnelly made a motion to accept the agenda. Jeff Lundquist 2^nd the motion.  Motion carried.

Approval of Previous Meeting Minutes: Karen Pitra made a motion to accept the minutes of the June 2004 meeting.  Jeff Lundquist  2^nd the motion.   Motion carried.

New Business in the Community:

Correspondence:  A lot of thank you cards from various people thanking us for our involvement in the community with all our programs this summer.

Treasurer’s Report: No report was given, President Marlene Young mentioned that everyone should start thinking of their budget for next year.  Need to have them in at the November meeting.

8.h    Arts and Crafts

         The arts & crafts sale was a success.   Thanks to Karen, Denise and Charlene for all

         their help.  The Holiday Arts & Craft Sale is scheduled for November 6^th,

         Annandale High School from 9 AM to 2 PM

 8.i    Golf Tournament

         Our golf tournament was also a great success.  Very good dinner was served by

          Fore Seasons Restaurant. Thank you to Cal, Albion Ridges, Holly & Walt from

          Fore Seasons, Southbrook for all your hard work.   Next years tournament will be

          at Whispering Pines, dates will be out later.

 8.j    Halloween

          Letters are ready to mail out for the Annandale Chamber Businesses Halloween. 

          Date will be Friday, October 29^th for passing out candy to the many goblins, hours

          will be from 3PM until 5 PM.

 8.k   Community Christmas

          Looking at December 3^rd to do the Annandale Chamber Christmas Celebration. 

          Need a report from Mike Zieska and Sue Heath to see if they have come up with 

          any other options on creating  fun things to do that day.

 8.l    Social Committee

          Dan Zahler will be looking at a date for next January 2005.  He will have a report

          at next meeting.

 8.m   Chamber Map

          Don Nelson, Mike Zieska and Mark Casey will be working together to see what  

          future the city chamber map may have.

8.n     Kiosk

          No report                

9.       Old Business:

          All Clown Show (Mooseburger Camp)

           The clown show was a great success, lots of people and 102 clowns who gave a

           very good show.   Jeff Lundquist & Mike Zieska will be looking into the

           possibility of having the show here next year and having a budget set in 

           November.

10.     New Business:

          None was reported

11.   Upcoming Events/Meetings

         Next meeting: Wednesday, October 6^th at 11:30 AM in the Annandale High School

         Cafeteria.  

12.   Adjournment:  Karen Pitra made a motion to adjourn the meeting.  Charlene

       Donnelly  2^nd the motion. Motion carried.
