Board Meeting Minutes

April 14, 2004 , 11:30 AM

Southbrook Golf Club, Annandale   MN

 President Marlene Young called the meeting to order at 11:30 AM .

Attendance:   23 Members

 Adoption / Amendment of Agenda: Jeff Lundquist made a motion to accept the agenda. Mike Zieska 2nd the motion.  Motion carried.

 Approval of Previous Meeting Minutes: Karen Pitra made a motion to accept the minutes of the March 2004 meeting. Mike Zieska 2nd the motion.   Motion carried.

 New Business in the Community:   Wellness Center , Midtown Center and FS3 on County Road 6

 Correspondence: None

 Treasurer’s Report:  No report.

 Committee Reports:

 8.a    Membership Committee

 No report 

 8.b    Ambassador Committee

          No report

 8.c    Business Expo

          Huge Success, Biggest number of vendors, and a large crowd came to enjoy!!!!  

 8.d    All City Garage Sale

          Date is May 1, 2004

 8.e    Chili Cook-Off

           Date is May 29, 2004

 8.f    Queen’s Committee

          As of this meeting we have 15 queen candidates.  Lots of events starting for the candidates in May.  Brunch & Gala are planned for June, watch for more details.

 8.g    Fourth of July Committee

          Buttons for the 4th have been ordered.   Prizes will be given again this year.

8.h    Arts and Crafts

           The Craft sale has been changed to Saturday, August 14th.  Watch for details.

 8.i    Golf Tournament

         Golf tournament will be Wednesday, August 11th at Albion Golf Course.  This will take place of the August meeting.

 8.j    Halloween

         Friday, October 29th will be the Annandale Businesses Trick & Treat starting at 3 PM.

 

 8.k   Community Christmas

          No report

 8.l    Social Committee

          No report

 8.m   Chamber Map

          Map is completed, everyone is very pleased.  If you didn’t receive copies and would like some maps they can be picked up at MCP Collision Center .

8.n     Kiosk

          No report                

9.0        Old Business:

         Business of the Year:

         Brent Morningstar gave some details of what the program could be.  The committee  will meet again before the next meeting and have another report for us.         

         Chamber Summer Concerts:

          Tabled till next Spring

          All Clown Show (Mooseburger Camp)

          A discussion was held and a motion was made by Charlene Donnelly to continue checking on having the All Clown Show (Mooseburger Camp) in late July.  Derek Groth 2nd the motion, Motion carried.  Jeff Lundquist will continue to pursue where we could hold the event and the date.  Watch for more details.

10.     New Business:

          It was brought up that the Annandale Chamber’s float cover needed to be repaired. A discussion was held and a motion made by Mike Zieska to pay $450 to replace   the cover.  Karen Pitra 2nd the motion.  Motion carried.   Don Rasset will be incharge of having the project completed.

          The Annandale Chamber of Commerce web-site will now be run by SteveBergesch.   Many, many thanks to Doug Kantor for years of service to this project.
