Board Meeting Minutes

September 10, 2003, 11:30 AM

Southbrook Golf Course, Annandale  MN

 

President Marlene Young called the meeting to order at 11:30 AM.

Attendance:   14 Members

 

Adoption / Amendment of Agenda:  Jeff Burkhardt made motion to accept agenda and Jon Ferrell 2nd the motion.  Motion carried.

 

Approval of Previous Meeting Minutes:  Mike Zieska made motion to accept previous minutes of July meeting.   Doug Kantor 2nd the motion.   Motion carried.

 

New Business in the Community:

                                                        

Correspondence:  A thank you from American Family and a survey from the Merriweather Circus.

 

Treasurer’s Report:  Report was given by Jeff Burkhardt.  Doug Kantor made a motion to accept the treasurer’s report and Mike Zieska 2nd the motion.   Motion carried.

 

Committee Reports:

 8.a    Membership Committee

  Membership dues will remain the same as last year.  

 8.b    Ambassador Committee

          No report.

 8.c    Business Expo

           No report.                           

 8.d    All City Garage Sale

           No report

 8.e    Chili Cook-Off

           No report

 8.f    Queen’s Committee

          No report 

 8.g    Fourth of July Committee

          No report

8.h    Arts and Crafts

         No report    

8.i    Golf Tournament

         No report.            

8.j    Halloween

         Letters will be going out to businesses soon.  Same agenda as last year.

 

 

8.k   Community Christmas

         Plans are that it’s going to be good!!!!  Maybe some new ideas will come forth on  

         having some more activity around town during the Holiday season.

8.l    Social Committee

           No report.

                  

9.0        9.0        Old Business:

A.     A.     Float project tabled until next meeting.

B.     B.     A nominating committee of Marlene Young, Doug Kantor and Jim Latour  is set to look for potential officers for the coming ‘2004 year. 

          

10. New Business:

A.     A.     Budget: All committee heads are asked to have numbers set for their ‘2004 

budget at the November meeting.

B.     B.      ACT Banner:  Doug Kantor made a motion that the Annandale Chamber 

       purchase a ACT Banner for the city.  Dan Zahler 2nd the motion.  After a

       discussion the motion was carried to purchase a banner for $200.   The banners 

       will be in after Christmas and we would like to place the banner in the City  

       Hall parking lot.

C.     C.     Website:  Any new ideas for the website please contact Doug Kantor at

                 American Family.   A big thank you to Doug for keeping this up to date for the     

                 Chamber.

 

11.     Upcoming Events/Meetings

           Next Meeting:  October 8, 2003 at 11:45 AM , Lunch Room at Annandale High            

           School.

 

12.       Adjournment:   Jon Ferrell made a motion to adjourn the meeting.  Mike Zieska

            2nd the motion.   Motion carried.
