Board Meeting Minutes

March 12, 2003, 11:30 AM

Southbrook Golf Course, Annandale  MN

President Marlene Young called the meeting to order at 11:30 AM.

Attendance:    19 Members

Ad option / Amendment of agenda: 

Doug Kantor made a motion to accept agenda, Jeff Burkhardt 2^nd the motion. Motion carried.

Approval of Previous Meeting Minutes:

Motion made by Jeff Burkhardt to approve minutes from the February 12th meeting, Doug Kantor 2^nd the motion.  Motion carried

New Business in the Community:  Blue Waters Family Restaurant and Wells Fargo Home Mortgage

Ambassador’s Committee:  A new Ambassador’s Committee has been formed.   There will be eight ambassadors, their purpose to communicate with members, former members and prospects.

Correspondence:  Information from the MN Chamber of Commence

Treasurer’s Report:  Report given by Jeff Burkhardt.   Motion made by Doug Kantor to accept treasurer’s report, Charlene Donnelly 2^nd the motion.

Committee Reports:

7.A    Membership Committee

 Membership drive is doing great.  We are having lots of old members renewing their memberships with the Chamber.    

7.B    Business Expo

          Expo registrations are coming in.  Registration deadline is March 17^th.   Lots of 

          new & exciting activities this year, watch the Annandale Advocate for details.                                

7.C    All City Garage Sale

          Saturday, May 3^rd, 2003.  Registration forms will be ready at the end of March for

           the all city garage sale.        

7.D    Queen’s Committee

As of this meeting we have 10 sponsors and queen candidates.        

7.E     Fourth of July Committee

Bryan Bruns reported that all is going well.   A tentative schedule has been set, vendors have been calling and Shelley has gotten the letters out for the visiting parade participants.  Letters to Chamber members will be out soon. 

7.F     Arts and Crafts

           Date is August 9^th. 

7.G    Golf Tournament

           This year’s tournament will feature afternoon golfing and presentations and a

           evening dinner.  Date to be determined

7.H     Community Christmas

No report.

7.I      Social Committee

           No report.

 8.0    Old Business:

8.1    8.1    Map up-date:  The committee reported that the original city map would be upgraded to stay within the budget.  The goal is to have the map done and ready for the Business Expo.

9.0     New Business:  None

10.     Upcoming Events/Meetings

           Business Expo – April 12, 2003 – 9:00 AM until 2:00 PM

           Next meeting:  April 9^th, 11:30 AM at Lake Center Bar & Grill
