Board Meeting Minutes

January 8, 2003, 11:30 AM

Southbrook Golf Course, Annandale  MN

 

Vice-President Marlene Young  called the meeting to order at 11:30 AM.

Attendance:    17 Members

Adoption / Amendment of agenda: 

Doug Kantor made motion to accept agenda, Jeff Burkhardt 2^nd motion. Motion carried.

Nomination and Election of Officers: 

Nominations were:  President – Marlene Young

Vice- President – Charlene Donnelly

Treasurer – Jeffrey Burkhardt

Secretary – Mary Wilson

Motion made by Steve Prinsen, 2^nd by Jon Ferrell to accept the slate of nominated officers for the 2003 Chamber of Commerce officers.  Motion carried.

 

A special thank you to Dan Zahler for being the past president of the Chamber of Commerce..

 

Approval of Previous Meeting Minutes:

Motion made by Becky Fisher to approve minutes from the December 11 meeting, Mike Zieska 2^nd.  Motion carried

 

New Business in the Community: RHI Investment Mortgage

Treasurer’s Report:

Motion made to accept report.

 

Committee Reports:

7.A  Membership Committee

Membership drive went well, over 100 members as of the meeting have paid.  MarleneYoung will contact members that haven’t paid.  

7.B    Business Expo

Mike Zieska, Chair, will hold a meeting January 15 at Homestyle Café for chamber members who are interested in helping.  Registration forms will be out the first part of February.   Business Expo will be held April 12^th.  More details coming as they happen.                                

7.C    All City Garage Sale

No report.       

7.D    Queen’s Committee

Vicki Greene, Chair, reported that there will be a meeting for the Queen’s committee on Monday, January 20^th.  

7.E     Fourth of July Committee

No report.

7.F     Arts and Crafts

No report

7.G    Golf Tournament

No report

7.H     Community Christmas

No report.

7.I      Social Committee

Invitations will be sent out for the Chamber of Commerce Social on January 30^th.

9.1    A new city map was discussed, Don Nelson will Chair the Committee, with Mike Zieska as co-chair.  They will check out the cost, design, etc.

9.2    Should we do a welcome back letter for the seasonal residents?  The issue will be brought up at the next meeting.

9.3    Talk of a Chili Cook-Off coming to Annandale!!!!.   Watch for more details.

February Chamber Meeting – February 12, 2003, 11:30 at Southbrook Golf Club.
